At least 14 clubs to contest 2026/2027 A1 Semi-Pro League

The Amateur Football League (AFL) says at least 14 teams are expected to compete in the 2026/2027 A1 Semi-Pro season, though confirmation of participation from all clubs is still pending. AFL chief executive Mohd Raimi Fakri Mohd Fuad said the league is deciding between a 14- or 16-team format and is also reviewing whether last season’s 30-match schedule was too demanding, while the status of Kelantan Red Warriors and UM Damansara remains tied to their pending Super League licensing outcome.
